White studied at Goldsmiths College, London and subsequently experimented with wide-flanged bowls and thin rims, exhibiting at the Cardiff International Symposium in 1975. She was awarded the Staatspreis Rheinland-Pfalz in 1982 for outstanding craftwork. Her work is collected internationally, in museums and private collections, including the V&A, London, and the Musee des Arts Decoratifs, Paris.
