The Compton Potters Art Guild was established by Mary Seton Watts (wife of the prominent Victorian artist G.F.Watts) at Compton, Surrey. Much of her output was made for and retailed at Liberty & Co. of London, who also had their Archibald Knox Celtic garden ornaments made by Compton Potters.
