With drop-down front and two leather panels enclosing a fitted interior. Two doors with conforming leather panels enclose door-mounted shelves. All flanked by bookshelves, with brass sabot feet.

After graduating from the Boulle School, Rene Drouet was apprenticed to Maurice Dufrene, who was a senior designer at Galeries Lafayette in Paris. In 1929 he joined the studio of Jean Domin.
