The OX9 is a celebration of our outstanding local makers and draws on the tradition of British chair making - humble, honest and practical. The skilled craftsmen responsible for making the OX9 are fifth generation chairmakers, some of the best in the country, and are located just a few miles from our showroom in Oxfordshire.
Made in solid oak with beech seat rails and traditionally upholstered in horsehair creating a long-lasting seat rather than perishable foam. The front legs have a slow taper, ending with a hand-finished spade foot pad. All the feet have a cork glide to prevent drag-damage to the short grain.
The OX9 is designed for versatility, to work in any room - it sits equally well in a restaurant or hotel, an office space or a home. Well made, sustainable, enduring.
Leadtime - 8-10 weeks. 50% deposit required prior to manufacture. Our makers are a small team and their workload varies so the production time is a guide. Do get in touch for an updated lead-time before placing an order - you may even get them sooner!
Upholstered in material to be provided by the client. 1m of fabric required per chair.
