A marquetry Augsberg cabinet on stand
The cabinet with two doors decorated with vases and arabesques in marquetry opening to an interior of drawers and a central cupboard all decorated in carved architectural elements and marquetry depicting riders on horseback and urban landscapes. The marquetry in various timbers including holly, sycamore and Hungarian ash. When the three side drawers are removed from each side, the niches and columns slide to reveal three more secret drawers respectively. The hinged top opens to an inlaid recess. All on a later 19th century stand.
