The mahogany top with drop leaves on fly brackets and a hinged panel to the centre fitted with a recessed ring pull catch enclosing a distressed dressing mirror. The pull-out front frieze enclosing a fitted interior with a slide top all supported by square section legs.
With a paper label to the underside reading:
'R. Stahan & Co. Ltd. Cabinet Makers and Upholsterers. 135 St. Stephens Green. Dublin'. R. Strahan were based at this location between the years 1896 -1969.

Established in 1776 in Dublin, Robert Strahan was one of Ireland's most prestigious furniture makers and the company's reputation remained until 1969 when the firm closed.
